An average pack of Tarot cards contains seventy eight total cards, twenty two of them belonging to the Major Arcana (The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgment, The World) and four suits that total fourteen cards per suit (Pentacles, Cups, Swords, and Wands). The Tarot has been a popular method of divination since the late 1700s, and has proven to be an effective technique for interpreting spiritual wisdom, particularly knowledge that is derived from the past, present, or future. Uses of Tarot Cards The primary use of Tarot cards is divination. The question to the user is this: what is it that you wish to divine, specifically? Tarot cards can be used as a guide tool in many diver circumstances. For example, when you perform or receive a reading, you can be given some insight into what your future may hold for you if you follow the path that you are currently on, or if you are debating changing that path. On that note, Tarot cards can be read for a particular question, and the cards can provide an answer that, if interpreted correctly, can help you on the path to solving that question.
